Great information! I have always heard of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome but I did not know that there were specific criteria that could be used to diagnose the syndrome. The demonstrations of the tests that are used to make the diagnosis were extremely helpful and very easy to understand.

From a nurse’s perspective, this is a great description of CTS. It provides enough detail for a clinician, but it is presented in a way that makes it very clear to the lay person who may not have as deep an understanding of anatomy and physiology. Should give everyone an idea of the simple tests that your doctor might do during an exam.

This was a good definition. Very good break down of the signs and symptoms. Also, good that you broke down the physical exam tests that can be used to determine if a person is presenting a sign of carpal tunnel syndrome. It is also a bonus that you noted in the video and the product description that this is an official definition from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Makes it that much more official.

What if you have some of the positive symptoms but not the positive signs, or vice versa? It sounds like having just one of the positive signs, by definition, means carpal tunnel syndrome is present. These tests seem pretty specific to the carpal tunnel but I’d like to have a little more certainty if it is possible.
